what would be a better deal and what would you buy both for $2500
a stock 2004 kfx 700 or a 2003 Kawasaki KFX 400 w/470 thumper motor, hot cams, oversize valves, 450r carb, pro taper bars, prm nerf bars and skid, full hmf exhaust, durablue 2 + 4 axel. Brand new gncc tires, baja wheels?

 

Depends on who did the work on the 400, lots of opportunity for that engine to be messed up. I would probably go for the 700 myself, and I am not saying that just because I have one. If it is stock, no one has hopefully been inside the motor tinkering around.

 

you said 450r carb.?? not from a kawi cuz they got efi...if all the motor woerk was done right on 400 id take it over 700 anyday...700 is heavy and has limited suspention travel cuz its shaft drive and its auto so you cant quite get all the power possible out the motor..... but niether quad is bad there just real diff from each other

For me it would depend on how big you are. If you are a bigger type of guuy I would go for the 700. If your smaller I would get the 470.
Both would have to be in nice shape though.

 

the 470 is set to race. dont get it unless ur racing it and want to tinker with it every time u ride. the motor will blowup more frequent than the 700 but in my opinion the 700 is utility.
