cv joint to bearing carrier

Default cv joint to bearing carrier

after removing the upper and lower A-Arm bolts will the bearing carrier slide out...i have to replace my rear wheel bearings and am really nervous about it..please advise

yes, exactly, it seems all you need to do is slide the bearing carrier off the axle at this point...am i wrong?

that sis correct as you see in the pic im just sliding it off. now the bearing are a differnt story and can be a real pain in the a$$ to chaanhe w/out a press.

Thank you so much ...you ROCK....and yeah i am briniging the carrier to a garage to have the old ones pressed out and the new ones pressed in...i feel confident now...before i was not sure how the cv/carrier assembly came apart...if there was a snap ring or something, but i guess it is just held in by the hub nut...thank you so much again

I got a feeling I'll be doing this when i replace the seals on the rear of my sportsman while I'm at it.

ya know if you heat the carrier w/torch the bearings pretty much fall out. put new bearings in freezer for a few hours and the drop right in.
