Good pic's, No mountains out there?

 

Looks as tho trailrider might be on the eastern prairrie around Watkins or such . Not much out that way other than wide wide open spaces and maybe a few prairrie goats (antelope that is )

 

I just Google Mapped Watkins and it sure looks wide open but probably a lot of riding area. Isn't this where they tend to get tornados every so often. I've always wanted to chase a tornado but we just don't get them here in Utah to much. I'm guessing the mountain riding is west of Denver?

 

Hi fellas, we went out east of Denver to Watkins to get my wife and daughter some experience riding on the flat lands. It isn't the prettiest place way out east but we had fun.

We are starting to plan a trip to Gunnison Colorado. We want to rent a cabin and do some riding up there in the mountains. I will be sure to bring my camera and video cam.

My daughter is getting the ATV bug, may have to look into a third MIC ATV.

And yes all mountains are west of I-25, east of I-25 is all prarie.

I drove a truck at one time and went into Denver a lot , spending a lot of time at Watkins and the truck stop there. The reason I knew or had a good idea what the area was by the pictures. I once had a idea to make a week trip to Gunnison also,but it got trashed quickly due to a wife who didnt like mountains and high altitudes (lol). If you like trout fishing , check out the lake at Gunnison I hear it has fantastic trout in it.

 

Kman, the bikes ran great. I might consider another 150 for my daughter.

Leesumm, we plan on doing some trout fishing in Gunnison for sure. It ought to be great up there when we go. We will ride the ATVs and go fishing, dosn't get any better than that. I can hardly wait. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

From what I have seen in Colorado in the past driving in the mountains Gunnison should be a blast , the trout fishing would be the ticket for me but with the added adventure of being able to 4 wheel out there would only be a bonus. Since I got my Vbike I have wondered sometimes what it would be like to go to Colo. Springs and be able to ride up Pikes Peak on one. That would sure be a blast .
Hope you take some pics for everyone although some would like videos but then there are some like me who cant download a video due to a slow dial up . Have fun
