I would ask this in the S/S forum but no one seems to post there. Saturday we went through 2 streams up to the bottom of the seats on our SP500's, overflowing from heavy runoff. My friends said they could not take their new RZR across since the RZR should not get water into the floor. Any owners know if he just chickened out thinking he might float away. I saw 4 small drains in the floor so it would take a while to drain but would it do damage?

 

A little out of my area of knowledge, but, it would really depend on how high the stock engine and tranny snorkles and the various vents are, I have seen some stock RZRs go though some pretty deep stuff without any problems!
I am sure that Polaris probably states somewhere in the manual that you shouldn't do ANYTHING with your new toy that could get Polaris in trouble...If I remember right, there is a warning like this in every owners manual I have.

So if he is following the manufacturers recommendations to the letter, he probably thinks he's right.

Check this out if you really want to know how deep a stock RZR can go with snorkles! I wouldn't advise it but you have to be impressed with this machine!

I'm sure it's in the owner's manual or video or on one of those many stickers. They probably say something like on quads - up to the hubs is okay but not much more than that.

 

just a guess but i bet these guys had it deeper then that lol.

 

I saw a different RZR water wheelie and lol at them. It looks like fun no matter what the manual says. As long as you remember do grease everything when you're done I don't know what it hurts. If you don't want to do the extra maintainance, don't dive into the deep end.
