Air filters for a Kawasaki Mojave
#1
I am trying to look ahead in the future to when i am going to need a new air filter, and i was wondering what brands are good and what are some good air filters out there? I am not very good about how to choose the right air filter, or if the air filter i choose is a good choice or not. So if anyone has any suggestions or solutions to my air filter problem PLEASE HELP!!!!

K&N is prolly a fav for alot of enthusiasts. I see you have another topic asking about Mufflers. If you go with a new muffler, and went a new air filter, you might as well jet it imo. But that's just me. It really just depends on how you ride. If you race people, I would recomend going the route I mentioned. If you just putt around and check the landscaping, you might as well go stock unless you want it to sound different.
I went with Pro Design on my KFX400, and love it. It's a foam filter insted of the normal K&N filter element.

How does the jet kit work? What does it do? and does it make the atv have any problems later?

a jet kit consists of jets that you switch. They are for your carb. The more air you're gonna get (air filter), and the better it lets exhaust (muffler)....the more gas it will most likely use/need. It's all about the air/fuel mixture when it comes to motors.
it depends on how you do things though. Besides, if you do decide to go this route...have a dealer do the jetting. Not to sound ignorant (not meant that way what so ever), but me saying this will save you $$$$. If you don't do it right, it could do multiple things to the engine, and you don't want that obviously.
