What do I want for my birthday?
#1
Hey all! My bike is listed below and I was wondering what I should ask for,for my b-day. My wife has been asking me what I want and whatever it is I've decided I want it to be for my new popo. I'm guessing it'll be within the 50 to 100 dollar range. I need some ideas!

I agree on the Quadovator 3-light kit. The price, delivered, is half of what I paid Montana Jacks for their kits.
8" rear rack extension. $64.99 at http://www.shadetreepowersports.com
When I had the 3-4" rack extension my cooler would tip over and dump ice water down my crack. I bungee it to the 8" one and it stays upright. I can carry 5-gallon gas cans without them tipping over too.
A thumbwarmer is nice if you ride in the cold. My hands don't get cold but my thumb freezes without one. $41.99 at the dealer.
Helmet quick-release buckle. Get them anywhere. $9.99
Maybe you can get the Lock & Ride backrest for $199.99 and skip Christmas.

Hey JF,
I checked out your link for the rack extender, pretty cool. Question, for you, how do you mount them
to the Polaris Plastic rack system? I imagine just like most universal ATV products they probably come
with U-bolts?
HDop,
As you can see theres lots of accessories you can buy between $50-100. May I also say you can get
the front or rear Body Guard Rack Extenders OR standard Polaris tube design rear bumper.
Seems like you are into hunting by the color design of your quad? If so that opens up alot. If you
have a hand-held GPS you can get the handle-bar mount for it. PM Caper he knows of one of the
better ones out there, or just search the threads. I highly recommend a TANK SATTLE BAG for the
non-mud/wet excursions. Easy to keep bottle water and sip along the way VS. stopping reaching
to open the front cargo box or cooler etc. its worked well for me. Big thing too, add some tow
straps to your carry-on items along with the Tire plug kits. We seem to use the strap more
then winching for pulling out friends real quick. about $25 for a heavy duty type with hooks on
both ends.
If you have some of these things and are bored with the options here, pick up a DENNISKIRK.com
magazine or visit their site and/or a BASSPRO catalog. Before ya know it you will be adding in
your next holiday presents, next B-Day etc. Come'on guys tell'em we are poor excuses of some ATV
addicts on here, ...8-)

Yes!!!........R.A.M. mounts are the only way to go for mounting you G.P.S. to the Quad..........
light-weight and made to fit your make/model............
I myself, like to plan rides,trips,events,week-ends........etc....
It's good to spend on extras for the quads..........But the way I look at it .......There here,I have them,.................So I would book a room for two nights for your B-day and ride take in a special poker ride or event in your area and get out and meet people that like what you do also!!
It's a good way to spend money!!..And the girl-friend or wife gets a piece of the action also!!....(not from the rooms, the ride)....LOL.....LOL.........Caper..........

No crappy little U-bolts or universal fit. This is custom made. The rack extension has 4 round steel pegs welded on it that fit into the holes that are already in the rack. The pegs locate everything, and 4 bolts with lock washers go into them from underneath. Not much room to wrench between the rack and body but it's simple and works great. I had one on all 3 500s. I wish there was a big picture. http://www.shadetreepowersport...age=atv/racks/rre.html

You know sitting here reading these I think Caper is on to something. We buy all these things and like them but we can get this stuff on our own. Maybe a riding trip would be a great present and you could get her something skimpy for the "night ride"!

The single most useful accessory I ever had was a winch, but good ones are expensive. The second best thing on all 4 of my quads only cost $7-$8. I get a bike water bottle cage and mount it on the left front fender with 2 pop-rivets and washers. Shifter on the right, pop bottle on the left. I mount them low enough so my leg doesn't hit the top when I put my feet up on the front rack to relax. But it's high enough to reach easily and I can drink on the fly.
Another good accessory would be the Moose 3-way hitch that plugs right in to your reciever. $45.95. You can use a ball, a pin-type trailer hitch, and a tow rope/chain. http://www.mooseutilities.com/...&product_group_id=5889
