I want more power, reliably.. porting and polishing is an option, but it just doesnt seem right to have an 800 that only displaces 760cc's..

 

I think they should have called it a 760 or a 750. Inflating the numbers is false advertising, just like a padded bra. It's kind of disappointing when you find out what's really under the hood.

 

YA they for the most part like to round up, there have been a few in the past that have rounded down but it is just not as impressive.

Don't really care for padded bras either, I like to know when the headlights are on.

 

we'll have to wait to see whats up for for 09' to offset it. but the 400 already does offset a little since its a 455 cc in a 400 class.

 

true, very true.. the 400 is really a 455, but the 800 isnt even close to 800... id love to see someone come out with a kit similar to the "Ice Cube Kit", only for the Polaris 800's..

You can make your 800 a 798cc if you buy these oversized, high compression pistons from here.

the 08' sportsman(same as hawkeye style) replaced the sp.450 but kept the same engine.
