Default Rebuilding my polaris taril boss 250

I have taken my top end apart from the crank up. I was originally going to change the piston however it looks pretty good. I am going to change the rings and gasket and go from there.
My question is , on the top of the piston and the underside cylinder head there is quite a buildup of what looks like carbon (it is hard and black). What is the best way to clean up the piston head and cylinder head. There also seem to be a build up in the exhaust port.

my second question is does anyone have a couple of rubber motor mounts; top nad front, as well as a clutch cover

You can get industrial type carbon remover in a spray can from some auto parts stores. Wear goggles when you use it. It's one the nastiest, wickedest chemicals there is.

Before you waist your time with rings pull the piston off the rod,put it in the cylinder(without rings) and see what size of feeler gauge will barely fit in between the piston and cylinder.Max is .003 anymore and your rings wont hold
