I'm a new member to this site but I've been going on this site for a long time, just never registered and I'm definately not new to 4 wheelers.

I have a '96 sportsman 500 with a couple problems, the first one is the 4wd doesnt work.

A while ago my headlights didnt work so I was looking around at the wires under the front cover and there were a couple that were not connected to anything, one of them was a black wire, I touched it to where it looked like it went and it sparked and ever since then the 4wd wont work. Any ideas?

Also I havnt had time to ride or work on it and I really want to start again, what should I do as far as a tune-up / preventive maintenance? Anyone know how many greese fittings are on this? They are everywhere and I don't want to miss any
