GIO 50cc - Air cleaner Snorkle?
#1
Hello All,
I apologize if this has been covered in a previous post...
Being as we do lots of our riding in mud and water, I was hoping to put a small extension or snorkle on my sons 50cc Gio quad. It surrenlty just has the stock air filter on it with no protection around it and when water spalshes up, the quad can sometimes suck it into the intake.
I have tried to divise a splash sheild or ? around it, but no luck yet...
Any suggestions?
I was hoping to re-route the air intake up under the seat behind the battery with some flex tube but I'm not sure if this will effect the air/fuel mixture, flow, etc...
Any advice would be more than welcome.
Also - this may be a no-brainer... but with the wheel spacers, are they recommended on the front, or just the rear wheels for stability?
Anyone know of better/wider tires for these little guys?
BTW... I replaced all of the rubber bushings and such with custom milled Poly bushings, BOY what a difference! everythign is tight, chain doesn't fall off anymore, steering is tight... overall the best modification I have made so far...
Thanks for any assistance or advice....
Rob.
