OK, I have an 06 Trv and I got to say I am completely thrilled with the machine, mechanically their are no complaints nor in the handeling deparment, my only problem is gear storage/ hauling capacity, I have the interchangable rack for the back, but allot of times I will have a second rider with me, (hence the reason for buying the TRV) does anyone know of any aftermarket add on racks for the trv that will encompass the rear seat?? their is plenty of fender space to the left and right of the seat, and ample space to the rear, It would seem logical to make good use of the area.

I do not know of any after market add on racks but if you can use use welder or know someone who can then all you need is some 1 inch box tubing and some U-bolt clamps. I added a small side panel next to each hand grip and one to the rear. The rear one is just large enough for a tote (16in by 24in) or a small ice chest. There are a couple of other guys on here that had made similar racks to what you are looking for for their older TRV's like mine.

I also attach a small backpack to the rear backrest at times. It keeps either rider from wearing it. My TRV is the old version so my rear seat cannot be removed and changed out with a rack like the newer models.

Kimpex Web Page has storage box made to go around the AC TRV or Can-Am. On the AC might also need the rack.

thanks. gonna have to check it out, ? though the rack they make, how does secure in? and in your opinion is it a viable way to secure a custom built rack! The one I have designed in my head will secure to the back grab bar and not sure where else yet!

The rack from Kimpex attaches to the bolts where the AC handguards go. You remove the AC handguards and just replace with the Kimpex rack. I think this is a very secure way to attach rack to machine. Also since it attaches to the removable seat it can be removed by pulling the two pins to remove the seat. The kimpex storage box then just connects to the rack with u bolts. I have about 800 miles with this setup and so far has worked great. I had the soft side bags from AC but did not like as well. Was a little costly, but my dealer gave me 15% off since I purchased the ATV from him. I really like this storage setup. I can remove the back seat, storage box with pulling the two pins and then can put on the rear rack if need to carry other items. Usually just leave the seat in case someone wants to ride with me.

thanks for the help, Me thinks I might go the cheaper route and continue with my custom build rack, I will definately attach through the AC bolt holes with rear enclosed storage and open sides for additional gear. Thank you much

I just seen now that A/C has a color match hard rear storage for the back of the TRV's.
It is lockable and has a seal all the way around the opening.......It is for the 2009 model I do believe............Caper......
