What do u guys think of the raptor 660 i was interested in the 700 but its way to much money for me so this might be a cheaper route. what do u guy think of the 660?

 

I've heard it's a good machine but that the early ones are a little narrow and had transmission issues. I think there was a recall on the tranny though. I would ask around in the Yamaha section.

 

It's a quirly machine! Yamaha rushed it to market, and I don't think they quite refined the design completely. It is a little tall, and it carries its weight a bit high in the frame. Plus, it is a little narrow, so it ends up being a little bit tippsy. Ergonomics have never been good for me.

Several if my friends jumped and bought them when they first came out, and know what...a year later all of them has sold them off. That should tell you something right there....and these are folks who are big time Yamaha fans!
