Anybody tried a Mikuni Flat slide carb on their 500 Scrambler?

My H.O. has the AAEN long duration cam, K&N,
muffler mods. It's stronger but I think the constant velocity, read vacuum operated carb is what is holding it back. But I hear these TMX carbs are a pain to get jetted right and not worth the trouble or expense. I grew up with Mikunis on Yamaha dirt bikes. There are also Keihin racing carbs from HPD. Anybody???

I got one in my scrambler The one problem is that i need to go up on the piolet jet And you need a throttle cable that comes out of the side but if you get it from aaen they also give you that. Mine still stands it up like before and is alot faster

This may not be new ground we're breaking here, but it is crusted over. Surfin' the Web, cruising Mikuni sites and Thumper sites, I'm finding the TMX carb is for 2-strokes, no accelerator pump. I find a 36mm TM carb with an accelerator pump for 4-strokes and Harley Mikunis
current model 42mm and 45mm but preceded by a flatslide 40mm HS or HSR for Harleys. I don't know if they could take the jostling, but there has to be a motocross thumper carb that is going to work fantastic on my H.O. Last year's hot Harley carb could be this year's Hot HO carb!
This idea could make all the Polaris 4-strokes go just that much faster.......Stay with me...
