Which would be better to do plug the injection hoses or buy a kit? And then whats the best mixture to run it at? And does anyone run a Paul Turner national pipe or a Bill's pipe? What do you think of them and how do they preform? Any help is always appreciated.

I got the block-off kit from trenga. It came with everything all the necessary parts to do a good job. It only took about 45 minutes. If you do just take off the hoses then you need to cap off the nozzle that the hose goes to or the engine will sieze. As for the paul tirner pipe I found dyno read outs on all the pipes made for a blaster(at least in '98)Paul Turner toped off at around 19 hp at 6000-7000 rpm. The only pipe the made 20+ hp was trinity at 21.5hp at 7000 rpm. If you get the paul turner your bottom end will suffer a few hp.

I picked up all the necessary parts at my local Yamaha dealer for blocking off the injection system on my Son's Blaster for $18.00. These were Yamaha parts too. I am not sure what all these companies are selling with their "block off kits", but I wonder if they aren't charging a little bit too much.

We run Klotz R50 (full synthetic) at 32:1 in my son's ported, FMF piped Blaster.

Regards,

Rog

what WOULD happen if you DONT block off the oil injection, becaue I have a 94 and I just started running premix at 32:1 and stopped filling the oil tank and my moto has run fine for a whole season

Did you at least plug the carb where the old lines came in? I would at least possitively plug that so your carb isn't just sucking air in. And taking off the tank helps shed alittle weight as well, not much but some.
