Took it to the dealer today. The knock is still there and the mechanic said to just drive it until it breaks. Its got 122 hours on it and its been maintained. I bought it brand new in october. Any ideas?

Agree'd. It cost me $198.69. For this. This is an exceptional town. 3 hours from the nearest "city" and super busy. Its an oilfield boom town and it took me 2 weeks to get it in. Should I contact honda or should I contact the manager at the dealership? By the way, they didn't call me when the valve adjustment didn't fix the noise. They thought it would be fixed. They just let me go start it and hear the knocking still. The mechanic told me to drive it until it breaks because its going to cost the same either way to fix.

Call and speak with the Manager. A call to Honda will just get a copy of your complaint sent to him. Honda seems to let all Dealership Managers deal with the problem first hand, If he is of no help, you can speak with a regional Rep and hopefully he will not favor the dealership.

My 07 came with a 12 month warranty, did yours? If so broke or knocking they should fix it. They shouldn't have charged you anything since it was not fixed. If the valve adj would have done the trick that would have been a different story.
I paid $118 for the valve adj and oil change at 20 hours.
I think I'll call Honda. Good Luck.

6 month here. I talked to honda and they told me to take it to another dealer, 2 1/2 hours away. If its a manufacturers defect honda MIGHT pay PART of it. They also said it would be 5 hours of shop time to diagnose the motor. Not sure what else to do.
