I recently got a 1998 300ex fourtrax before that i had a 2003 250ex sportrax which is now my dads. But after only 4 months of bein the slowest one out of the people we ride with he would like a 300 or 350 warrior, I would like to see some opinions and other machine suggestions if any, Thank you

One of the 400's! They are both excellent machines. I like the Honda 400EX for tight trails, and the Suzuki Z400 for more open country. Can't go wrong with these!
Believe me, you want to pass up the Warrior!

I'm with reconranger.....you will surely be sorry if you get a warrior....it is time to step up to a better machine like the 400 ex or the z400. He will enjoy riding much more on one of these!

I want to say thank you to both reconranger and firehog, about 2 hours after i asked this ? he came home and told me he just bought a 450r. has alot of mods thanks for iall your suggestions and opinions. but i do have a ?. why does everyone bash the warrior it might be heavy and out dated but my frinds dad has one and it is very reliable and you can still have some fun on it (not including wheelies )?

I was riding a Warrior, probably before you were born. They aren't that heavy on paper, they just handle kind of clunkey. In their day, they were ok, but not by today's standards (and the Raptor 350 is no better). Time to retire this tired old engine and frame!
There are some important things to know about the 450R. One is that it needs frequent oil changes, and can benefit from an ester synthetic oil! Also, run extra oil in the transmission (dirt bike guys run a full quart). Adjust your valves at least twice as often as the owner's manual suggests.
