06 750 bf not running right
#1
Ive got an 06 750 bf that I cant seem to get running right. yesterday I took it for a ride and noticed that it wasnt idling as smooth as normal but ran fine full throttle. So I changed the plugs that didnt help it just got worse, so I took the carbs off and gave them a good cleaning. The back plug looked fine, the front plug was fouled so it got new ones. After I put everything back together it will not rev very high at all without coughing and backfiring, I know its not the rev limiter. Sorry for the long post. Any help would be appreciated.

I have checked the jetting in the carbs and everything is the same. It was running just fine and then all the sudden started getting worse. I had no reason to get into the carbs until this problem occurred. I am thinking something in the ignition possibly. do you have anyhting else I can check? any help would be great.

What does it sound like. Just a miss or is it stumbling around. 3 things, check the fuel filter then if the filter is fine check your choke cable and make sure its not stuck.
Check booth plug wires for bare spots or spots that are stiffer than others. that is a sign of bleeding and it will need to be changed out. Happened to me on my 05.
Hope this helps.

Ok I have now eliminated the spark issue so i know its in the fuel systems. The fuel pump is ok. Now since I have cleaned the carbs and made sure everything is correct in them my question is what are the 3 wires that hook up to the carb. do?
