Rev Limiter Needed,1986 250,Will any 250 rev limiter work??
Does anybody out there have a working rev limiter for a polaris 250 at a descent price to get rid of,Please let me know,Will any 250 polaris rev limiter work ?????Thanks

If you can find it at Polaris Parts you can click on USAGE and see what other models use the same one. I didn't see it. http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp

Hello Dr. Lang,it is very generous of you to give me your 92 rev limiter but I have done some research and found that rev limiters past 88 have 4 wires,mine has three,Green Yellow and Black.If you happen to see any let me know,Ive been looking and so far came up empty.If you ever need a part let me know,If I have it,its yours!!! Thanks again,I appreciate it.

why not just disable yours by unplugging th black wire.

Hello,I have disconnected my rev limiter and now my polaris hauls ***** !! As did many other people,I tore my carb apart 100 times because of the symptoms it was having with bad throttle responce and no pwer. Figuring out it was the rev limiter a few months ago would have saved me alot of money in parts,but at least now I have the assurance of knowing what wol'nt go wrong(I HOPE !!) My advice to other polaris owners who have problems with reving or lost power, dont rip the carb out or replace the rings,wiring,gaskets,a CDI etc,etc as I did!! REPLACE THE REV LIMITER FIRST!!!!!! Its fairly simple and inexpensive compared to everything else,so if it turns out it wasnt the problem at least it didnt consume alot of time and money!! Iwanna thank everybody on this site who was nice enough to share there knowlege with me and help me get my quad back on the trail,I appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I do have alot of parts for 86-88 Polaris if you need anything.GLAD IT WORKED OUT

Hello to "ftwflh" do you know if by disconnecting the rev limiter it will cause any problems in the future?? If you have the three wire rev limiter I need,I definately want it!! Im kind of **** about keeping my stuff intact and complete and would prefer to have it on,regardless of the effect of not having it.Im located in Lebanon county PA,I dont know where your located but if you can call me about the limiter that would be great,My phone number is 717-867-4858,Thanks,Carl.
