Looking at my recall notice now and no where does it say to wait for a second letter. Says not to ride it and to contact your dealer to arrange an appointment.
If I were you, I would simply call your dealer and arrange an appointment to have repairs done.

This is how my recall letter states:

What should you do?
Honda will begin to notify customers by mail that the parts are becoming available and should contact an authorized honda atv dealer to have it repaired. We kindly request you waite for thie 2nd letter before attempting to schedule the repair.

I;m going to check into this monday because i've been waiting too long.

Thanks for the info

I got my letter in the mail yesterday. It tells me not to ride the atv until repaired and to contact my dealer. It says nothing about waiting for a second letter though. I guess I'll be calling my dealer soon. I think you should contact them as well

I did get a second letter, but had already scheduled the work.
Two Ranchers done.

Dealers says that the parts are slow to come in.

I actually received 2 letters. Probably a Month a part. Anyways, my Dealer called me to ask if I still had the ATV and they ordered the parts. They said they would call me back when the parts came in. That was about 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything since.

Mike.

Blame Honda soley for this one.
Honda is only shpping dealers ONE axle kit at a time because they are slow to come in and thats the only way they can keep up with the demand. Once the repair is done, the dealer submits the recall to Honda, and then Honda ships another axle kit out to them the next business day. Honda WILL NOT ship the dealer an axle kit until they receive a claim for one already repaired.
