does anybody own a spyder? if so do you like it? is it dependable? am considering getting one or maybe a harley. would like to get something that my wife can ride as well. any input would be great. thanks.

 

i don't have one but seen them at the dealer and i think there pretty freakin sweet, probably fast too

 

is there really such a thing as TOO FAST??????????? the dealer says 140mph. but the stability control is unbelievable from what i heard. my family is thinking of getting some(4 including me) and selling the harleys. can't test drive one wihout buying first. can am was doing test rides at sturgis but i didn't make there this year so i missed out. just looking for some info.

 

the spyder is great if you cant hold a bike up or are worried about stability and or trying to ride in the winter i work for a dealership that my dad owns and i personally prefer a bike just because i've been on bikes my whole life and no the spyder will not do 140 i believe the fastest i've been on one is 119 ... but the spyder is great for what it is if had the money i'd own one even though i prefer a bike!

 

If I was choosing between a harley and a spyder it would be the spyder. Most definitely.

If I was choosing a conventional motorcycle it would be a Honda, Kawi, Suzuki or something over a harley.

119? seems a lil low for a 990 streetbikeish machine the speedo goes to 200, all bikes are factory limited to 185 but i think it could do more than 119 imo but you probbaly know more about them than i do.

 

There pretty sweet! theres acouple around here and we raced but what iv seen they move pretty well, just give it a k&n full exhuast and your good, if u get one yea gotta go with the black
