Any idea what kind of price range I may be looking at to replace rings on a 1988 TRX 350? Ballpark figure would be VERY helpful. We're smoking pretty good these days...

Thanks to Athlon for getting me figures if I bought the parts and did the work myself...anyone have an idea how much it would cost to have a Honda bike place replace the rings? Just a guestimate would be fine so I'll know a ballpark amount to start saving. THANKS!!

 

This is the price from Honda Canada , which is probably quite a bit higher than the US prices .. The price is for 1st. oversize because when you get the engine apart and measure the cylinder it will probably need to be bored ..

The shop we use charge $35.00 CDN for boring a cylinder .. The job would take 4-5 hours ... About an hour more if a valve guide/s need to be replaced ..

 

Honda Mechanic helped me out with my need for 350 manual, Thanks! You can get the whole cylinder with wiseco piston and rings(Standard,.25 or .50 over) for about $200 then another 20 for gaskets. Just get a good manual and unbolt everything and label stuff you dont even have to remove the engine from the bike. Take a few nights to complete. Job done and ride for years!
