'09 Raptor 700R SE vs. '08 Raptor 700R
#1
I need help deciding which of the two I should buy. It would be an $800 price difference between the two. This will be my first quad, but obviously not the first time I have ever ridden. I usually go about once or twice a month and ride my uncle's Arctic Cats.
Is there anyway I could justify spending $800 to upgrade to a 2009, SE model? Would I be better off putting that money into the '08 to upgrade it?
Thanks for the help!

Turns out the 2009 is actually a 2008, $500 taken off the m.s.r.p. of the 2008's, and $1,000 off the 2007, it would look like this.
2008 SE ~ $8,200
2008 ~ $7,600
2007 ~ $6,900

the only real difference i can see on the SE is the plastics, ide buy the 08. that way that 800 you save can go to customizing it in your own way. i mean who wants to know how fast their going, i know when i ride im having to much fun to bother to look at a speedometer. but if you choose it then its really not a BAD choice but im more of a do-it-yourself kinda guy, ide build my own edition...
the ds650 baja came with an RPM gauge if im not mistaken, ide rather have that on a rappy then a speedo...

well that 800 could be better spent on mods blah blah
but then again, that 800 will probably serve you better in the long run in resale value.
Was it 08 or 09 that they added the Fuel Injection.

LOL as if the 08 were had bad shocks and brakes! It all about which one do you like the looks of better I personaly like the 08 looks better that the 09's.
Not to a father figure but are you sure you are going to be able to handle a 700 as your first quad a 400 class quad sounds more inline to me? Just sayin!
