400ex Whats it worth?
#1
Just wondering what my 05 400ex is worth. Its been on ebay and it is not selling. I had a reserve of 3000. The bike is all stock except for full skid plates and engine/oil cooling ducts. I know the bikes has been 100% maintained, adult owned never raced.

This 400ex needs nothing except a rider. A $3200 450 has most likely had the snot beaten out of it and you will problably end up putting more cash into it.</end quote></div>
Uh, no. Me and my bro both bought mint 2yr old 400ex's for 2400 and 2500. Both with fresh 426 rebuilds. Sold them for 2400 a year later after about a 2 month listing. Then I bought a piped '04 yfz450 for 3200 done slight work on it but, nothing required. Bro bought an '05 450R for 3300 that needed nothing but, a brake lever.
It depends alot on your location. I'm just saying that NO 400ex will sell for $3000 around here in oklahoma. You asked and I'm telling don't get your panties in a wad about it man.

My panties are fine, like you said its location. around here this is usually not an unheard of number Im in CT. There is not really anywhere to ride so it keeps the ride hours down low. Its more a garage decoration then anything.

I see. Well, something to take into consideration is summer is ending so sales maybe down on outdoor toys. They seem to sell better in early spring.
You may try to post on craigslist if you haven't yet. It's free and it's where I've always had best luck selling things of this nature.
Good luck with it. I'm sure it'll sell as soon as you give up, that's how it always happens with me anyway. : )
