Default DS650 Oil Filter Crossover Number

Here's the deal, my dealer that is closest to me never keeps anything in stock. Always has to order stuff, and wait. I'm trying to cross reference the oil filter off of a 2001 ds to something that a part store carries. The filter it shows that fits the ds is 711256188 which crosses to 420256188. Also shows 711256186 which crosses to 420-256-186. I called the parts store and they said that they didn't show anything for any of them numbers. Just curious if someone knew what filter might fit it so I can purchase it. Didn't want to have to order it through the dealer or ebay. Just wanted to go and pick one up. But if I can't, That's fine I'll just order a filter and put off changing the oil right now.

Your best bet would be to order k&n filters from Rockymountainatv. com. They are about $5.00 or so. I usually order about 5 of em when I get mine, they ship fast, usually I can get mine in about 2 days.

FYI, if you have any autozone stores around where you live, they stock K&N. So if you just wanna go pick one up, that may be an option.

Thanks, I believe the number is KN-152. I'll try that.

why not use a Scott stainless steel filter? a bit pricey but its a one time buy. just clean it up with brake cleaner and put it back in .... no more searching. just my 2 cents
