The 81 250r i just bought is totally mint, the tires are cracking bad! , so now im in the market for a new set, what is a good size tire to widen the trike up a little bit? Thanks!

 

I don't think tires would widen
You could look at wheel spacers to widen
For tires look at tires for the type riding you do
You could look at the HoleShot XTC or XC or the Maxxis Razr

Ah the real old iron. God I love those old airhead R's as my man said above, spacers are an awsome idea a wider axle is even better for durability reasons (spacers are fine, cause they ar like 1/3 the cost) you need to lower the profile of the tire. when you ride you will note a very eiry feeling of the tires moving away from the rim when you attack corners hard and fast, a lower profile tire that is not too aggresive is what it needs. I would say no more agro than the turf tamer, if you insist on ballon style, then the chen-shin is not bad at all for the price, we have had a set on our cammed, piped, ported 185s for a couple seasons and they are great bite got on rock and sand and have been puncture resistant in the rock gardens

 

You could try the Carlise
I found them at walmart of all places
I run them on my 185s
But the tires I suggested in previous message were selected for the lo profile
