yamaha cracked case?
#1
i was gonna sell the machine and itd probably be easier to sell with a diff bottom end would it be smart to buy another bottom end or is it weldable? its not a big hole at all in any way but enough that dirt and wated could get in there any help plz?????

if the crack does not affect the running of the motor, get some JB Weld and patch it. just be sure it is for what ever metal the case is. it is probably aluminum, so get the appropriate JB weld.

I would take the case off and take it to a weld shop. I cracked the case on my Honda transmision and had it welded and never had any issues out of it. A weld shop weld will be much stronger than JB weld. (Just my opinion).

I'm guessing this is a Warrior? If it is, you can find used replacement parts everywhere. JB weld will work wonders, but it is crued and will not be accepted good by anyone looking to buy. To get max dollars for it, the best thing to do would be to change the lower end or what I would do is just change the left case and use your existing internal guts. The problem is with a used lower end, you don't know what kind of shape it's in. Make sure on your next bike to keep the chain tight and it will not jump off.

it wasnt that loose but you could just start to hear it clack around it was the stock chain i normally would get an o ring stronger and safer lol it broke the little rod that went threw the link it didnt jump off

ill keep that in mind my bearings and sprocket should be good well atleast i know the sprocket is and my bearings werent bad before the chain broke so it should be good. one of the rods that go threw the link broke and thats why it came up and smashed my case
