Default Dealer jackin' me around...again!

Some of you know that I've been having issues with the wifes machine not indicating the right gear on the display. You also know that the dealer on the first trip said that they adjusted and lubed a sealed part (rotary switch),we all know this is not possible!
Well I took the machine back to the dealer because the problem naturally was still there. After a week I got a call from them saying they had the prob narrowed down to the ECM and was going to replace it. Yesterday I got a call saying it was ready to go, problem solved. I brought it home and got to snooping around to see if they had changed the ECM.....I know I know I'm nosey. Well guess what, they didn't change it! I know this for 2 reasons. 1st it still has dirt and mud on it from our last ride.2nd it still has the same machine screws and loktite from when I had to re-mount it after it had fallen off!
I HATE being lied to and I'm not sure where to go from here. With that being said the problem seems to be fixed but I only rode it around the yard and the prob was only intermittent in the first place so who knows!
Someone commented last time to call the BBB. Well...I think I will but I think I need to call Polaris too. What bothers me is the warranty is almost up and I don't want to be stuck with a lemon. I don't know how to prove that they've done this is my main problem. I will NEVER buy from this dealer again!
They put the mileage of the machine on the work order so I've taken pictures of the odometer and of the unchanged ECM, I even tried get them both in the same picture.
Can Polaris run the VIN and see if an ECM was even ordered? I just can't believe they're doing this! I don't see how they could possibly benefit from this type of service.
My wife brought up a good point, maybe they ordered the ECM and got it free of charge due to warranty and will just keep it so they can charge for it again with the next guy. This crazy and I'm POSITIVE they didn't change it.

I've never had a new quad so I havent delt with polaris dealers much but I have delt with car dealers. I would take it up there and show them what you are talking about I assume you have a piece of paper saying they changed this part. If you dont catch any flies with honey, pour on the vinegar. Get really nasty with them especially if you dont plan on doing business with them anymore. You wont get in trouble as long as you keep your hands to yourself. You probably wont get anywhere but nothing feels better than righteous indignation you will have a great story to tell. I have a few myself. If you can pull all this off without cussing its even better (they look like horse's asses not you) but not always possible.

I agree.....I'd LOVE to go back and make them look really dumb but I don't know if I can keep my cool. I try hard to be a laid back kinda guy but things like this make my blood boil! Honestly I have a horrible urge to go back and make someone swallow the ECM whole but I know that'll do nothing but get me in trouble!

Nope no charge still under warranty but I can't help but wonder why they lied.

You should have an invoice/work order that says what they did to it, so what does the paperwork say?

Then you caught them in a lie. If they charged you instead of Polaris and saying the warranty covered it you could sue them. I think you should tell Polaris that the dealer is screwing you and them too. Maybe Polaris will sue the @#$%^&*s right out of business. I think you should get the BBB involved too.
