New ATV Question
#1
Well i have been around quads for about a year and have ridden my friends. I really like the Polaris Trailblazer 250 and have found 2 for sale around $1000. They are in good condition and are both two strokes. I got 2 questions. 1) Is this a good decision? 2) Anything i should know about TB's?

I know a lot of people with Traiblazers and they like them. As long as you keep the air filter clean they don't seem to have any problems. I think of them as something like a Chevy Cavalier. That was the best selling car in the world among first-time buyers for several years. Trailblazers are great first quads. Not very expensive and you get a lot for your money. If you decide you don't like it there won't be any problem finding people who want it.

that is a decent price, I'd say do it if the trails don't really involve any hills or overly rough terrain. Out here is southern California the trailblazers are okay on the fairly level and easy stuff. Hills are simply out of the question even if you had all the trick Hot seat performance stuff. Whoops and trail obsticles are normally taken very slowly but managed, don't get any visions of blasting through mud or sand dunes with blinding speed, it is more of a trot. Just a heads up, good quad though. Remember to check your injector oil level that is critical and it is not a bad idea to check the belt that drives the tranny often either.

I can't speak for the front a-arms but the 250cc 2 stroke I had in my Xplorer was plenty strong enough to move my 300+ lb. body up and over about anything. Not a speedy quad but did okay for the size of the engine.
