Default gas!!!!!!

Hey guys/gals wondering if any one can help, just purchased a 2006 Sportsman 800 , and will be going on a quading trip in the Duck Mountains (manitoba, Canada), my question is does anyone have any idea how many miles i should expect out of a tank of fuel, its mostly mid range speed trail riding , i will have extra gas on board and will probably drive till empty and check that way , just curious what you guys think ill get. Another question on the 800 is there a fuel reserve ? Thanks in advance

Trail riding my 800X2 gets between 20.5 and 23 mpg's.That's usually riding double on flat smooth trails. It does not have a reserve because it is fuel injected.

ive had to 800's(1 was the 06') and thest i got was 16 mpg. you better figure 50 to 60 miles to the tank full to be safe. it all depends on your thumb and area your riding in. i my self cant imagine getting 20 + mpg. imo.

That would give you close to 100 miles on a tank , sounds better than 40 . I could not imagine only getting 40 miles to a tank dam I could not even make my closest gas station without filling up on the way . I normally do 80 mile runs daily never carry gas

How can you afford to ride 80 miles a day and where do you find the time. I'm happy to ride 10-15 miles when I get a chance to ride. Unless your on a trail system that is like a dirt road. Went there one time and we rode about 60 miles a day but it was all day.

Try

www.trackshare.com

Its a site from Manitoba and you'll find lots of riders with the same machine as yours that ride in the "Ducks" and will be able to give you first hand info.

Have fun!

We are allowed to run the roads , I have a 80 mile loop that I do regularly which is a combination of roads and trails . There's also a coffee shop 26 miles one way that I go to on a regular basis I just enjoy driving around . 2400 miles already on my bike bought it this spring . O I do almost all those miles by myself thats another reason I bought a carb bike thus no worries . Did nearly 6000km on my 06 Rev last winter I can't wait to park the ATV and start sledding , I enjoy sledding more . I don't work
