Not likely anything available yet. Let us know what you think of the 550.

"Cylmer" and "Haynes" aftermarket manuales would defiantly not be out in print yet, but maybe the super expensive shop manuals from Polaris themselves are available through your dealer.

I'd go with the factory shop manual if your paying $10,000 plus for a new ATV I'm sure $90 bucks or so for a manual won't hurt too much .

I have a PDF of the fatory service manual for the 08 800,that I got off the web.
Give it time I'm sure some one will host it eventually. If you do buy it,make sure to get a disc and host it for us,lol.

Do you think the xp maual will cover both 550 an 850 bikes as they are the same machine except for the hearts.
I want to figuare how to get the covers off my machine so i can grease it up,and how to get to the oil filter as i'm not paying $120 again for a oil change.

I bet it does, the owners manual covers both. And the 800 manual I have covers the 700 and 800.

The grease fitting locations and oil filter location is in the owners manual. Also If you have a Polaris oil change kit there is an instruction sheet in the box. I greased all the zirks on mine without removing anything.
If you lay under the machine in the middle and look at the skid plate you will see 2 large round holes, one is access for the 550 oil filter and the other the 850. The easiest way is with the correct size filter wrench/socket through that hole. When I changed mine I couldn't find my wrench/socket,I was able to get channel lock pliers on it from the side above the skid and remove it. Not sure if you can do that on the 550.
