Default 2002 Big Bear Spudder at Mid RPM range

My big bear has had a slight spudder in the mid rpm range after I put my dynojet kit into it. Would this be because it is set too lean or too rich on the needle? also wondering if the pilot screw has anything to do with midrange rpm?

2 question, does anyone else's big bear have a pretty good valve tap? I checked my valves and they were good but the engine was cold, i know some bikes need to be checked warm, anyone know when it should be checked?

any info would be greatly appreciated

what came in the dynojet kit? i have heard that if you rejet the carb, you need to replace the factory pipe with a matched pipe for your new jet settings.

i replaced the needle, spring, main jet (only the next size larger than stock). when adjusting the pilot screw, does tightening it increase or decrease how rich it is?

i bet you will have to change the pipe now. that is what i have always heard. any alteration of the factory setting changes everything.

i actually drilled out the main jet slightly and it runs awesome now, i when i put the kit in i put too small of a jet and it was choking for fuel. It was definitely strange how it only spuddered in middle rpm but the main jet was definitely the cause, thanks for all the help
