I drove the bike the other day, drove fine, went to go and fire it up the next day, kick it over, and over, and over, then she will backfire quite loud, and ocasionally it will fire up and run for 7 to 10 seconds, then bog rite out, the backfire and when it does fire up it smells really bad,not two stroke bad like something totally different,ive cleaned the carb from top to bottom, cleaned air filter, does anyone have any ideas of something or anything i could try, thanks for your time??

 

Did try a new plug?

 

not brand new, but one out of a running tecate, nothing different

 

you might try a new choke assembly im having the same prob with my 82 (which is for sale)ran perfect until i took the choke off and put it back in it would not seal up.just a thought
