I know that 400ex plastic will fit ona 250r. I have seen an R with EX plastic on it, but Does anyone know what is involved in this conversion? Can the 250r seat be used with the EX plastic?

Thanks

Brad

There was an article in Dirt Wheels a bout a year ago on the conversion. I will try to look and find the issue.

I have found the information I was looking for and here it is in case anyone is interested. Also if I decide to do the actual swap I will post information about it on my website.

The article was in 4-wheel action, August 99 issue, page 51.

The 400ex seat does have to be used, but the swap looks fairly easy and turns out quite nice.

A company called Performance Racing Concepts (615) 643-9434 actually makes a kit to ease installation.

Thanks for any input.

I am also going to do this swap when my FullBore fenders finish breaking. Does anyone know if the EX gas tank will fit the R as well? I know the tank cover would have to be trimmed to accomidate the R tank and it doesn't look too neat. I was just wondering if the EX tank could be used to make that part look better.
