Does anyone elses 800 seem to burn oil? Mine does. About a 100 miles its down about half way in the safe zone. This has happened since new it has about 500 miles on it now. By the way how many ounces are there between add and full on the distick? No external leaks and nothing in the antifreeze.

 

Does it smoke? You might want to do a leak down test on the engine, that will tell if your engine has any problems.

 

ive had 2 800's and neither one ever used oil,leaked oil. i beleave its 8 ozs.

 

Mine used allot too and almost got me in trouble. The dealer said there was nothing wrong with it. I just will have to keep an eye on it and see if it contunues. Does anyone know if it will use oil till its broke in and the rings are seated?

 

What type of oil (brand and viscosity) are you using? Not overfilling to start with...and then thinking its low?

I have heard folks re-installing the dipstick all the way...when it does not call for it. Just as an example...
