I have been reading the latest issues of Dirt Wheels, and the DMC Alien exhaust system kept popping up. I am wondering if what they say is true or if they are just lying. They say it has the largest power increase throughout the powerband. Can anyone with some experience on exhaust systems help me?

 

dmc uses all of its good quotes from magazines and leaves out the rest, the banshee pipes had quotes listed from dirt rider, last time i checked they test dirt bikes.

 

I shopped around alot before I bought my exhaust system. When it came down to two choices, I called up the manufacturers (FMF and CT Racing) to ask them how they compared to each other. FMF didn't have anything to say. When I called CT Racing and asked for the difference, this is what I was told (pretty close to verbatim): "Our (CT) pipe kit produces more power overall than the competition (FMF) while also smoothing out the powerband, this is THE pipe for woods racing." I ordered it. All I can hope for is that it lives up to the claims (~50hp).

I don't know about them though...If you read the paragraph about the Raptors exhaust they beef it up saying "It's the best response we've seen from any Four-stroke quad yet" BUT if you page down they say the SAME thing for the exhaust they have for the DS650 ,that's shady to me, I don't like that kind of business.

 

I forget which magazine added the CT pipe to a Raptor, but all they got was 41 hp.

 

Ya, but that pipe wasnt the one they tested and are selling on there sight, plus the one on there sight is with air filter and jet kit. Go with the TC silencer and I gaurantee you you get the same results without airbox/filter mods I know this for a fact. I have rode both.
