Default 07 500X2 Electrical issue

I have a 2007 500HO X-2 that started running really ruff at idle and will eventually die, then again sometimes, it will run fine. While checking all the connections I noticed that if I hold pressure on the connection between the TPS (either that or the TBAP)(has 6 wires going to it) that the engine smooths out. Several of the wires appear kinked but I have not been able to narrow it down to just one. Even general pressure on the connector seems to help. Anyone know where to get a replacement connector? Do you have to get a complete harness?

Thanks
Scott

Polaris sells a replacement harness, you get the connector and about a foot of wires, be sure to do a good job of soldering the wires together.Oh yea if its the connector in front of the air box it's the t-bap.

Maybe check the throttle adjustment going into the box above the thumb throttle. There's a turn nut under the boot on the throttle cable.

Thanks for your help. You would not happen to know the part number for the replacement harness would you?

Thanks again!

I had the same problem with my 06 800 EFI, replaced the connector and problem solved. From talking to the dealer, it is a known problem and easy fix.

I did some more checking and it appears that the wires go to a "stepper motor" on the throttle body not the TBAP. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Replace the connector, I replaced mine and it took care of the problem. Mine was reading the code 45, which is the low pressure sensor. It would run great at times, but then it would start up and die, or idle rough and want to kill. As I said as soon as I mentioned the problem to the dealer he knew exactly what it was and told me what to do. My guess is it is a known problem that Polaris just don't want to admit.

Good info to know Sultan. I have an 08 500X2. Guess if I see any of the above indications - I check this connector.
