gas in the oil-ds650

Default gas in the oil-ds650

well i checked the oil for the first time since i put on my tm45. turns out theres gas in there!! im having one heck of a time with this bike lol. any help?? i was told it was my oil rings or something. i have no idea.

Yeah I would say bad piston rings is what would cause that. I would get a new piston, rings, and head and base gaskets. It's not hard to change a piston at all. I'll post pics of some minor mods that will make it easier for you on my photo page when I get a chance.

i think im gonna try changing the oil first bc it might have been bc my float was stuck or something, and coulda leaked in. idk how to explain but im gonna try changing the oil first bc its the cheapest way!! thanks though!! ill tell u how it works out!

have you been hauling it without turning the gas off? the jaring of the bike will make the floot in the carb bounce up and down and let too much gas in the cylinder and it will get in the oil.

Yep, go for the cheaper easier fix first, but there's always a good excuse to get a new piston! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
