Default How much oil?

I'm changing the transmission oil in my 2000 Sportsman 500. The owners manual says 12 oz,but my supplement manual says 32 oz, for Gearcase oil. Very confused. can anyone set me straight. Also for the front gearcase I bought Valvoline High Performance gear oil 80-90. Is this ok or do I need synthetic.
I did a search, but no luck. Thanks in advance.

On the tranny usually about 16-20 ounces, the 32 ounce quote is for TOTAL DRY (rebuild). Can use the 80-90,BUT a little thicker than Polaris gearcase fluid. Calls for 5 ounces, but can drain and fill only about four usually.
