I may buy a 2003 sportsman 700. the awd is not working, the light doesnt come on and it dosent engaged when the rear tires spin. the guy was upfront about that and some other minor issues. what are some things I could check to see how big a problem this is going to be to fix?

 

Bad or dirty AWD switch causing no power going to the diff or hubs. Is your speedometer working? It has to work to have AWD.

 

the speedometer is working, I didnt know it had to though, thanks for that bit of knowledge. I'll take a look at the switch.
