And almost as stealthy. Aluminum rims and silver fangs. The camo model is actually stealthy. Black wheels and black front end.

Nice thing about it though is it is easy to touch up and hides stuff due the the plastic underneath being black . I hear ya though, I went with Green this time. Looks like the shiny colors are cleared and hopefullly the paint is a little harder. Unfortunately when/if it does chip it will be very obvious though.
I wasted no time painting the "fangs" black, looks 100% better IMO

give me a break!!!!! were talking about stealth paint! I have put my 08 800 stealth through woodland you cannot believe! yeah here and there you get a scratch or 2, its a quad not a showpiece! I have drove straight over 3" saplings head on on with thorns and bryer bush everywhere along the way to make new trails on our property and this thing has not shown any type of real scratch in the stealth paint. I would have to admit they've done good on this one!!!!

That is impressive...but even thought this is a quad, I would spend hours cleaning it, and seeing how expensive this machine is, in my honest opinion, it's an investment you need to take care of. I'm just **** when it comes to cleaning.

So with that, I will be purchasing the brushguards sometime this week and getting either the pledge polish or the STP cleaner for the plastic. I'm just meticulous

IronBear-I'm meticulous as well. My dealer says I'm OCD,lol.
I don't suggest you coat the machine in Vinyl protectant as alot of guys suggest, it just hides flaws. Yes makes it easier to clean because it is like a coat of slime between the dirt and the bike,it also attracts dirt. I don't care what the bottle says about anti-static blah blah blah. Sorry rant over..lol
On the paint use a good wax or sealer, just like you do with your car/truck. Vinyl protectant is not good for paint.
On the vinyl use your vinyl stuff, you could use it under the fenders as well if you like.
I actually use CD-2 Engine Detailer on the under carriage that actually coats everything and dries well,it does an AWESOME job. I've used it for years.

badazzpred-I agree the Stealth Paint hides stuff pretty well, and looks great. I was pretty rough on mine as well. My main problem was the paint would peel easily at the bottom edge along the fender. If you wanted to you could have grab the paint where it lifted and pulled a pretty big sheet of paint off, even trying to sand the loose paint off it would tear larger pieces off. It was just too soft IMO for the outer edge where rocks fly, and limbs rake down the side. The softness is a benefit further inboard as its rubbery quality resists scratches and scuffs from things like hitting it with your boot when swing your foot over, ect. . I still liked the Stealth and ordered my 09 in stealth, then I saw the green in person. I fixed the problem with my Stealth by painting the fender edges all the way around and about 3" wide with some matte black spray paint, which was harder. It looked good and didn't peel at all after that. Polaris did good with the Stealth, but I think they should have added something to the paint for durability out on the fender egde.

Excellent tip HighOctane. I've used Zaino Plastic Wax http://www.zainobros.com and that stuff works great, but wanted to try something else to see if it would protect and make it look better. I think I'm going to stick to my Zaino plastic wax...I mean the mud will just fly off of the machine, and it made it look great!

I never used engine dressing but I will be sure to give it a try.

Make sure it is the CD-2 stuff, nothing else compares. Stay away from ay other engine dressing! They contain harsh petroleum degreasers and don't work like CD-2. Unfortunately CD-2 is hard to find most places, it can be ordered online but is fairly epxensive, around $8-10 a can. Luckily the military exchange here has it from time to time and I buy it by the case for $4.99 a can. But I have ha to order it before, and even at 8-10 a can it's worth it IMO.
I've used Zaino, good stuff. Zaino is actually a synthetic sealer, which last alot longer than an actual wax. I use Klasse, also a sealer. Doesn't shine as good as Zaino but is ALOT easier to apply(buff off) IMO. I would suggest that you only use the plastic wax on the un-painted plastic, use the stuff made for paint on the painted plastic. Remember, unlike older ATV's these are painted. If it says safe on paint,ok.
