Does everyone think a longer swingarm is necessary for the raptor?

Just wondering before I decide if I should get one what everyone else thinks. I have heard if you go anymore than 1inch the front end will push through turns this was from Mickey Dunlap from FTS racing. What does everyone think will 1inch help that much and is it worth it.

If you go longer on the swingarm , it will affect the turning .You can compansate for that by going wider on the axle (slide through the corners).
We do all sorts of riding , mostly wide-open fire roads and dunes . I would go for a +4 swingarm and a +4 axle.

I agree with PaulB . I just rode mine in the dunes with +4 swingarm and Lonestar axle. I thought it handled masterfully. With the right tires it still slides easily and the front end stays down even on the steepest hills but you can still get it off the ground duning around on rises and berms. I would not go four inches without aftermarket power. I have full exhaust system and have rejetted. I had rear shock revalved and +100lb spring on the rear also. It has turned into a pleasure to ride with the ultimate in stability. I have a rear width of 50" and 49" on the front. That is my input!

Bartman-I have done alot of mods and I will try to list here: Ceramic coated header and aluminum silencer by Dustins called the Extreme Raptor exhaust.Modded jetting and ProFlow filtersystem.
Lonestar 2+2 for Raptor/Bashee axle.
Sparks timing key.
Denton stabilizer
Lazerstar lights-removed stock and welded instrument pod to handlebar clamp.
Prm bumpers.
Elka triple rate billet front shocks with piggyback reservoirs.
Modded rear shock valve and springs by Circuit One.
45 T. rear sprocket and gold chain.
Of course the +4 swingarm already discussed with 400ex carrier.
It all works great together for a duner at least.
Going to Glamis in two weeks - you could see it there but I don't have ability to put pictures on email yet. Be happy to mail picture.

Anyways, let me know if you need specifics.
