which is better 2009 Honda foreman 500 or Yamaha 400 bigbear, I plan to use it for hunting, riding my kids and a little utility work oround house

 

if your looking for a cushier ride, the big bear has IRS(Independant Rear Suspention). both are good mechines. Foreman is more of a working mechine. and has more power. If your looking at honda, the rancher 420 might be a better fit, its a foot shift as well, water cooled, and is a few $'s cheeper than the foreman.

 

The 500 Foreman for sure, the big bears are geared for work and over rev in top gear at only 45 mph,the Honda will work all day long also but can cruise at 50 mph smoothly down a open road. Its just more versatile.
