Default 95 Scrambler 400 - No low end power

the machine runs just fine at idle & once rolling, but, if I'm stopped at the bottom of a hill & go to accelerate, it has no power to try to blast up the hill or at least spin the wheels. Another example would be if I was stopped in some mud or sand & hit the gas, I don't get an instant hit of power lto break the tires loose like before, it just slowly wants to move away, but once rolling, it goes like it should with plenty of power.

Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

sounds like a clutch or belt issue

It's a 2 stroke what kinda lowend do you expect?I just love the midrange and topend accelleration on mine because it makes up in spades for the boggy lowend.

I understand it's a 2 stroke, I would just like it to have the low end that it had until recently.

Thanks for the replies, any other ideas?
