I have an 07 Grizz w/ EPS and love it. No sore arms and shoulders after along days ride, (150 mi). I also have a KQ450 and prefer the Grizz. Then again, I'm kind of an old guy (55).

Have the grizzly 700 w/ eps.. love it if I had to complain about anything it would be that the radiator can get packed with mud easily, so make sure you wash it out good at the end of each ride.

Other than that....... can't complain about anything.

Anybody added aftermarket shocks to their Grizz?

I just bought an 09 550 esp grizzly. Really nice machine, Alittle over 200 mile on it . No regrets. Test drove the 700 and decided personally don't need that much engine. But I'm realpleased with my Yamaha.

Southwest45, congrtulations on the grizzly I too am looking at the 550 with ESP. Since I see that you also own a Rancher 420 could you tell me which one you like better and why? I'm am asking because the Rancher 420 was the only other untility quad I was looking at. I am only 170lbs so I am guessing the 550 and the 420 would be plenty of power to pull me around. Thank you.

I have no experience with the Outlander 800 as there are no dealers in my area, but have heard that it is a very good bike. I can only speak to the Yamaha 700 EPS. I have a 2008 with fifteen hours on it and so far I am very happy. It has plenty of power for me, rides well and I absolutely love the EPS. I am in my sixties and EPS is a necessity for me, but my son used it to set up deer stands not long ago and he absolutely loved it and said it made the bike feel smaller and more maneuverable through the woods. The only modifications I have are a winch, full set of Ricochet skid plates, heavy duty front bumper and rear rack extension. My tires and suspension are original and I will leave it that way. Like I said, I can't compare the two, I can only say I am happy with the Yamaha.

Well red rancher, Both are very good machines. The Rancher is my work horse and the grizzly is for trail riding. IRs smooths out the bumps on the trail. I'm not sure what your needs are, But if I could only keep one of the two . I'd keep the Rancher. Been very reliable , other than the normal oil changes, I've never had any trouble with it. It sits out in the weather for weeks on end , I go out push the start button warm it up and put it to work. Never failed me. I bought the grizzly for trail riding and to impress my friends.
