I only had to turn the engine bolt around so the bolt head was on the sprocket side. On mine the threads were on the sprocket side and the chain hit a little with a 15 and would have hit a lot with a 14t

You will have to take out a link. I had to do that on mine when I put the 14tooth on it.

Of course mine could have been an original chain and stretch a little.

I so far I have not had to drop a link but after my next ride it looks as though I will have to if I need to adjust my chain. With the 22's and a 14T you will be very pleased you actually gain a little more acceleration imho. It's a little under stock gearing.

The only problem you'll run into is the front end going up in the air! LOL! You shouldn't have to take a link out, I've always been fine just adjusting the chain tighter.

I noticed that you're from SLC. You should come out to Little Sahara this weekend for some Duning!! I'll be there with a few others having some fun.

The 14t from Rocky Mountain went on mine without any mods, as well. You simply need to adjust the chain - instructions are in the manual.

I swapped back to the stock 20" tires (For track riding - they are easier to slide) and love the additional power! When the snow flies, the 22" Dirt devils will go right back on.

I put my 14t on with my 20's just to see while I was waiting for my 22's to ship and 1st gear becomes useless, 2nd goes by really fast. Thats all I coud do in my yard was 3rd, I would recommend 22's for everything. The added clearance as well as it puts the gearing a little below stock so you have alot more bottom grunt.
