is there anyway i can tell if the magneto is ruined or is there anyway to clean it im not real sure how it works but i find it hard to believe this wouldve caused all these problems

If the ATV can be started at all then its not the Stator. Try cleaning the pulse coil and flywheel contact points behind the recoil cover. My electric start would tun over but not start the ATV but would start with the pull rope only. Once I cleans the coil face and rust off the flywheel contact nub all was good again.

thanks for the advice i was just under the impression that the stator gave the four wheeler all power and charged the battery because when you turn the lights on it will die

The stator is the beginning of the power source. No Stator means no power to Puse coil,CDI, ignition coil Spark plug you name it. Stators are like light bulbs, they work or they don't not much in between.
