Link to the winch you are talking about didn't work.
Anyway, typically the winch's contactor will be wired directly to the quad's battery, but using the winch constantly can draw the battery down.
If the winch you are looking at is intended for ATV's, it should come with the contactor, handlebar switch, and cables needed to set it up. Be very careful where you route the wires (especially the one on the positive battery post) so that they can't get smashed or vibrate and chaffe the insulation off. I like to put some convoluted split loom on the cables that go to the battery. It looks clean and professional, and gives an extra layer of protection.

had to look @ that wench it looks ok to me .....but harbor freight sells a remote controlled wench that is crap......when you winch the remote model it keeps running for a while after you relese the button, and the time it keeps running is very inconstant ,so you cant predict when it will stop ::::very dangurous::::
.
.
i have one of the remote winches installed on a bombaridier rally ....I remedied the problem by tossing the remote then removing the circut board in the winch.
then wired a push pull toggle switch to the relay switches in the winch....
.
.
i think the push button winch will work fine for you becouse it has no remote
(ps) my 60.00 remote winch has been running for over 1 yr now ,and has worked good since i tossed the remote
