Idles good starts missing at 1/3 throttle, Has good fuel, even switched carbs even though it looked good, everything ohms out-coil, trigger, and stator. tried known working cdi ,could trigger or stator ohm out properly and still cause problem ?

 

Valves set at .006? Is cam exhaust lobe elliptical,not ground down? Possible for stator,coil to breakdown,usually when warm though.

 

Hey man thanks fo the tip. I already had the valve cover off and had checked the clearence. Apparently someone has adjusted the slack already because when I went back to look at it closer I noticed almost no lift. Too bad I didn't notice it the first time I looked at it.
