Why is my 400ex smoking right after i change the oilyester

i just changed my oil in my 2005 honda 400ex yesterday and today i was riding it hard and it started smoking. what is wrong?

Oil filter in backwards (fatal error!)??? Wrong oil (not API SG/JASO MA or to light)???
