Ex-Banshee rider finally gets the hang of climbing hills on a Raptor
#1
For any of you out there who traded off a Banshee and bought a Raptor, this post is for you.
During the last few weeks, I was seriously thinking about selling my Raptor and going back to a Banshee because I could not figure out what riding style I needed to get to and as a result, had crashed my quad down a pretty steep hill.
I guess all it took was a little time, because I'm starting to adjust. It just takes a lot more throttle control and more standing and leaning than what was required on a Banshee.
We had a great ride yesterday and I took a few pictures. If you go to http://www.metalcraft-ar15.com/bash/..._the_group.htm, you'll see some of the hills that we were climbing, even with Raptors.
Final thought: If your're like I was and feeling discouraged about your Raptor's climbing ability, don't give up. There's nothing like a Banshee, and there's probably no other quad that you can use that style of riding on. You just have to adjust and before you know it, you'll be having lots of fun again!

Thanks trcagle,
I should have taken some pictures of the woods that we ride in, but I wrongly assumed that everyone knew what great looking woods were like
I'll try to make a photo log of the next ride as well.

Bash, Glad to hear that you decided to keep the Raptor. I've ridden a few Banshees and thier unbelievably quick but I've always been a four stroke man. It's all preference. You're one of a few members that has intelligent posts and doesn't get into childish name calling unless it's in good fun.
